Trouble Configuring Company Managed Business project settings.

Hi!

Generally I am pretty informed when it comes to traditional jira settings and board configurations, but I am having trouble configuring a team members board. He currently has it set up as a company managed business project, which I believe may be the issue if it doesn't allow the same level of customization as a software managed board. 

I am trying to create quick filters and configure his swim lanes but I can't seem to find board settings anywhere; The three dot settings option is not at the top right of the screen. There is currently a filters selection on the top right side, but the only option is to filter by assignee and no way that I'm aware to configure it. 

Is this due to being a business project and not software project scheme or is it located in a different location that I'm just not seeing?
