Trying to add a rule to a workflow that changes a custom field

Hello,

I'm trying to add a rule to a transition in a workflow that would change the value of a custom field (group picker (single group)). Unfortunately, despite adding the field to the: issue type in question, when I go to Rule > Update and issue field > Update an issue field

I am not shown the custom field, rather a limited selection of options in the screenshot. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Please make sure that the field "Group Picker" custom field is add to your Team Managed Project under the section highlighted in Blue in the below screenshot, if not then kindly add that field from the section highlighted in Red and save the changes.

After that you try to add the rule to update the custom field.

Hi Petar - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I assume this is a Team-managed project. How did you create the custom field - directly in the Team-managed project? Or did you make it a shared global custom field? 

If you create a simple filter - project = ABC for that project, can you add that field as a column?
