Trying to add time estimates to task fields but get error for description

Deleted user August 20, 2020

I'm trying to modify the fields of my tasks to include time estimates but when I try to save I get an error regarding Description:

Already exists. Use the previously-created field or try another name.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Robert,

Unsure where you are seeing this error. Is this on the issue screen that you are trying to add the Jira provided "Time Tracking" field?

Bhushan,

Thanks very much for your response.
I'm seeing this in

Projects/My Project/Project Setting/Issue Types

When I try to modify an issue like tasks I see the attached.

It seems like you are experiencing a similar issue to @Nir Yungster at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Cannot-configure-Issue-Types-in-Next-Gen-Products-any-ideas-what/qaq-p/1161046

Can you have a look at the solution he has proposed and check if this resolves the issue?
