Trying to connect JIRA (cloud) and Confluence (cloud)

Hi community,

My company has a JIRA instance setup, and confluence setup. However, these were setup independently so I'm trying to connect them. I was trying to follow the steps here:

https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/guides/expand-confluence/confluence-and-jira

But I don't see 'connect to confluence' option within project pages. Instead, I see the sales images for confluence, and clicking that tries to prompt me to purchase it. There doesn't seem to be any way to say 'I already have confluence'.

Please help!

Lydia

Hello @Lydia Hawkridge

Are your Jira and Confluence instances part of the same Site? If so the URLs would be something like this:

Jira - https://<yourCompany>.atlassian.net/

Confluence - https://<yourCompany>.atlassian.net/wiki

Notice the first part, after the https, will be identical if the instances are in the same Site.

The page you are following assumes the instances are in the same Site under a single Organization.

If they are not in the same Site then you need to first set up Applications links to link them to each other.  Refer to this page
