Trying to validate that 'Source' is not empty on creation

This used to be dirt-simple on JIRA server. I'm trying to simply add a transition validator; yet no option exists in my transitions

Posts here seem to indicate that there should be a 'validator' field.

Welcome to the Community.

Team-managed project aren't a possible option on Jira Server, only Company managed project are.

Team-managed projects are designed to have less configuration options so that teams can self manage without the need of a Jira Administrator.

Company-Managed projects (which is what you would have had available on Server) have the same set of configuration options including transition validators.

I suspect if this is going to be a problem for you you are going to want to be using company managed projects, not team managed ones.
