Tying issues to documentation/training aids

You finally did it. You and your team went through and updated all of the existing use case, training aids, and technical documentation for your product. Now, you want to make sure that every time something is changed in the product, someone is reminded to review and update the documentation. 

How do you link this together? The documentation may be outside of Jira (Sharepoint, Salesforce, etc.). Do you have any method that you use for your documentation team to be notified when a particular product, functional area, or feature has been updated? Do link any of this to your JSW issues?
