Hello,
I'm looking to change the type of average that is used in Jira reports - is this possible? If so, how?
Thank you.
Ugh, this sentence reads poorly, but I don't know how to improve it without it turning into a long-winded paragraph:
By "type of average", do you mean: mean, median and mode?
If so, then I'm afraid the answer is "you can't". The averages the reports and gadgets show are hard-coded as part of what the report is for.
Mostly, they are mean-average, which is what most humans I've run into assume when they hear "average". (English speakers - I don't know if "mean" is a default assumption for speakers of other languages)
Hey @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-, if by "mean" you mean the sum of all values, divided by the number of values in the series, then I think I know what you mean 😊

Hi @Kyle Weston
Which report/gadget are you referring to? Would you be able to share a screenshot?
Regards
