Hello

I am no longer able to add tables (as mentioned here) in the sidebar section of a JIRA. In the attached image, please see the expected (with the green tick) and the actual (with the red cross)

I am only able to create a table when I open the issue in a separate tab in its detailed view. Please note that I was able to add the tables in the side-bar in the previous versions of JIRA.

I am looking forward to hearing from you

Thanks and kind regards

Amritha

hi @Amritha Narayanan,

first of all welcome to the community!  😊

In order to help you with this. can you please let me know what do you mean by JIRA side bar? looking at the screen shot , it seems like you are trying to add a table inside a comment of a ticket.

I suspect with jira upgrade , rendering type of comment filed/or field you are referring changed in to Default Text Renderer. which leads you to get an out put as you showed in your screen shot with X mark. Or maybe 'Renderer' Macro got disabled.

If you are a JIRA Admin, you can check this with following steps.

  1. Choose Cog icon from top menu bar > Add-ons
  2. Search for 'renderer', filtering for system add-ons.
  3. verify the plugin is not Disabled
