I am trying to Archive projects my team has completed. I am a site admin. I went to the admin page for projects, selected the ellipsis, and only see two options: "Project Settings" and "Move to Trash".  I can see the "Archive" page on the left side menu.  Am I in the wrong place?

Hi @vanessae_4flyers_com  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Archiving projects is only available to Premium Subscription users of Jira even though the option may be visible.

Hi @vanessae_4flyers_com

There are multiple reasons why you may not be able to see the archive option.

  • Project archiving is a Premium feature. You need to be a Premium plan user.
  • Jira admins and project admins can archive projects. So you need to have either of these two roles.
