I had a new user that was unable to log in to Jira, so while troubleshooting her problem I reviewed some posts that recommended clearing the browser cache.

I tested it on my PC to see if I could replicate her issue..here are my steps:

  • Verified that I could log in to Jira through Chrome
  • Cleared my cache, history, and cookies.
  • Attempted to log in to Jira and received a message to "Check that your browser allows third party cookies."
  • Verified that the browser does allow third party cookies. When checking the cookies that were created when logging in I found one that said "Unable to Set Session Cookie."

I'm stuck, any help would be appreciated.

I followed the second step suggested at https://codeastrology.com/failed-set-session-cookie-http-instead-https-phpmyadmin/  and it worked for me .
