We are trying to add EPIC Name field to custom issue Types. But unable to edit EPIC Name field context. This is the requirement for one of our customer.
This is normal as the Epic Name field is only applicable for issue type Epic It represents the short name for the epic which is used in the backlog and on the cards of your agile board.
You would need the Epic Link system field or Parent Link system field.
