Unable to add group to project role

I am trying to add a group "R&D" to a project role in Jira Server but I can't see the group when I search even though same group exist in other projects.

This suggests you've already added it to the role.

No. This is a sample of the project that has the group user already.

So you've already added it.  That's why it won't appear in the list, you already have it.
