I have 3 active users in my Jira instance and only 1 project we are working on. The Jira project was setup as company managed and I've added the user thru the administration panel. The user can login and navigate to Jira, but is unable to see the project. I've tried adding them to users, developers, and jira-software-users-<jira instance_name>, but the user is unable to access the project. Any ideas on how I can add this user to the Jira project?
Hello @joecline
Since it is a Company Managed project you need to review the Permission Scheme associated with the project and check who has been granted the Browse Projects permission in that scheme. That is the permission that determines if a user can see your project.
If you don't readily see the problem when you do that, please share with us
1. the information from the Permission Scheme for the Browse Project permission
2. a view of the user's account from admin.atlassian.com
2a. First go to admin.atlassian.com and navigate to Directory > Users. Confirm the user is listed there with an Active status.
2b. Click on Show Details for the user. Confirm they have been granted a role in the Jira Software product.
2c. Confirm that the user has been added to a group that has access to the product.
2d. Compare this information to the information you have about the Browse Projects permission for the project and confirm that the user is within the scope of a group/role to which that permission has been granted.
Thank you so much for looking into this. I think I have added the user to the users group which looks to be a group that can browse projects.
Below is the user view in admin which shows the user group associated with the user.
Thank you again for taking a look.
