I am trying to create KanBan and SCRUM using the classic template but am getting a message saying "the magic didnt happen".
This is not the case when using the "Next Gen" templates and I am wanting to know if the error is legit or if the classic templates have been removed.
Also, the audit log simply says the project has been deleted, nothing pointing to why.
Thanks in advance!
Hey @Ryan Zore and @Mike Waters,
I'm sorry you're having trouble creating new Cloud projects! I believe you both may be affected by a known issue that hasn't been resolved yet. Unfortunately this will require some action on the backend of your Cloud instances.
Be on the lookout for emails from our Support system - I'm raising tickets on behalf of both of you and you should receive a notification within the next few minutes.
And for future readers: if you continue to see this error and JRACLOUD-69324 is not resolved, you'll need to open a ticket with Atlassian Support to help resolve this on your Cloud instance.
Cheers,
Daniel
I am having the same problem. Is there something I can do to fix it?

Thanks everyone for your help. I am an admin and here is what I received from support.
Thanks for contacting Atlassian Support! My name is Douglas Braun, and I'll be assisting you with this case.
Indeed, there was an issue on your instance that was preventing you to create classic projects.
One of the issue types has miss-associated the Story issue type that is used during the creation of classic projects and was preventing to create them because it was being used by a Next-Gen project.
I've fixed that at the database and it automatically fixed the Next-Gen project and enabled the option to create Classic Projects again.
Please let us know if it helps you to resolve your issue. Feel free to contact us back with any additional question that you may have. We'll be here to help

Thanks @Mike Waters
Since it is not a permissions issue it could be a problem with a global issue type that is associated with the Scrum/Kanban projects. I'll check with the other Champions to see if we can get some more help.

I have the same problem. This is not a permissions issue.
I am an Admin of site-admins and jira-administrators and I can create projects using the other Jira Software classic project templates (Bug Tracking), but I get the same error with Kanban and Scrum projects.
Please help with this, as it is completely blocking our adoption of Jira
thanks!
Mike

Hi @Ryan Zore,
Are you a Jira-Administrator? It could be a permissions issue, since only admins can create classic projects.
