Unable to give application access to Jira Software from Active Directory user

Hello everyone,

I am trying to give access to Jira Software from a user in Active Directory, but when I try to check Jira Software, I am unable to do it and it show the following message:

Its not possible to give application access to a user in a AD with read-only permission?

Hi Fábio,

the probably easiest way is to grant Application Access to a group the user belongs to.

In order to make this work AD should provide at least a group the user comes along with, f.e. "jira-corporate-users". As soon as you grant this group Application Access the user is counting towards the license limit as well as he is able to start using Jira.
