Unable to see criteria in basic search but was able to add in JQL

pradeep_v September 7, 2020

I have added a Custom field called "Module" to be visible in all pages. When i am trying to create a filter with basic search it is not getting displayed. And the error message is got is "Module is not applicable for current project and /or issue type". With JQL i am able to add Module.

Please provide a solution for this.

I the basic search, remove the selection for project.

If you select a project in there, the basic search looks at whether each other field is available to that project, and tells you when it is not, so you don't end up with a query that won't work.  JQL is actually less clever, it doesn't do any such checks, it just lets you create a query that won't return anything for that combination.

Try selecting one single project that has the field.
