Morning,
Our company built a number of project templates that have their own issue schemes, workflows and permissions.
It is mandatory that we use one of these project templates when we create a new project.
With the addition of the out of the box Atlassian project templates I now don't seem to have access to our custom project templates when attempting to create a project, instead having to select one of theirs.
Am I being silly, is the option to select a custom project template hidden somewhere else?
Thanks in advance
There is not a way to add to the list of templates available during project creation, as per
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-40141
But, you can still create Company Managed projects that share the configuration of another project.
If you have another project that has all the schemes configured in a way that you want to use in newly created projects you can select to share those schemes with the new project thus:
1. Go to Create Project
2. Select from the available templates
3. On the screen where you find the Use Template button, click that.
4. In the next screen click "select a company managed project"
5. In the next screen check the box for "Share settings" and select the project that has the settings you want to share.
Thank you Trudy, that is exactly what I am looking for.
Appreciate the time taken to respond.
