Unable to set weekend end date in Big Picture

I'm not able to assign a weekend end date.
I am not able to see where it would be restricted.
Where can I turn this blocker off? 

Shown here I'm trying to change it in Big Picture/Gantt, however when the JIRA ticket is directly opened in JIRA it also does not allow a weekend to be selected for the end date.
