I renewed my Jira license today but unable to update it in Jira Administration->Applications-> Versions & licenses page.
I can't remove the current license and add my new one as it said it won't be functional if there's no license.
There is a warning "Jira Software is licensed but not currently installed." and i tried to install it but it said "An unexpected error occurred. Refer to the logs for more information.". I can't find the logs with the errors.
What can I do? Thanks.
If you have a license for Jira Software it needs to be installed on top of Jira Core. If Jira Software is failing on install like it is for you then you need to look at the logs on the server and see why it will not install. Jira logs are stored in the home directory in the log folder. Viewing the logs at the time of the error should provide you with information as to what needs to be done to get Jira software installed.
