Unable to update some fields

I cannot update the remaining estimate on a ticket. I always get the error: "We couldn't set the remaining estimate value. Check your connection, then give it another try".

There is nothing wrong with my connection. This is a persistent bug with Jira and it's very similar or possibly the same as another bug that has been happening for years which means some fields can't be updated. It's not always the same field, but it only ever affects some fields and not others.

This started happening to the remaining estimate field a few weeks ago and it is affecting many people at the company.

The temporary fix is to switch to a different browser that you've never used Jira in before, and then it will work only in that browser. But this bug can appear at any time if you use the same browser over a long period to work on Jira and it has been a problem for years.

Have you reported the issue to your Jira Administrators? Has a support case been opened with Atlassian on this issue? I would strongly advise you to get a support case opened with Atlassian as they would have access to look at the backend Cloud systems to get more details from logs about what might be happening.
