Unable to update the Assignee value

Hello, 

I'm trying to assign a ticket to a team member, but once I enter her name, an error message pops up:

 

We couldn’t update the Assignee valueYou can try again in a few minutes, or refresh the page.

We couldn’t update the Assignee value

You can try again in a few minutes, or refresh the page.
Can you please direct me how to solve this issue?

Could you please verify if you have Assign Issues permission in the project you are trying to assign issues to

No, we don't have any other Assign issues for the other team members, just for a specific one.

Hi @Prachi Bolar ,

We are also facing the same issue. Eventhough user is having required permission to assign the tickets, but Jira is not allowing and just throwing "We couldn’t update the Assignee value You can try again in a few minutes, or refresh the page".
Tried in different browser, cleared the cache.. but nothing worked.

Can you help us here.
