Unable to upload attachments in JIRA

Error is

Could not save attachment to storage: Unable to create target file /data/jira/data/attachments/MWO/MWO-430/11427

Any resolution suggested is greatly appreciated!

Start with a look at the log file - it probably has error messages that will explain "unable to create".

However, this is usually

• permissions on the attachments directory
• no disk space left
• disk accidentally unmounted
• (and my favourite, as it's usually mixed up with "no space") disk is out of free inodes

Same problem with one issue here, but other issues in same project is it possible to attach documents as usual.

Went fine to clone issue and upload attachment to the cloned issue.
