I was given the answer to use the UNLIMITED TEXT FILED for our Jira issues, but using 4 of these fields for testing results/data slows down the database and uses a lot of overhead. Is there an alternative option where we can use a link to a text field and still be able to print when we do a query in issue navigator?. Se when we print a month of QA Jira issues we can see the text fields from the linked info? Our DBA does not want to use to use the unlimited text fields as a storage repository for QA test output. How does Atlassian handle it? Do they use a separate testing tool or do you have a hybrid application?
Hi,
Hide / Show text field feature is currently not available. However, you can create a new feature request at http://jira.atlassian.com and look for its updates. It may be implemented if meet certain level according to [Implementation of New Features policy|https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DEV/Implementation+of+New+Features+Policy].

Steven
