Unlink issue types from other projects

Hello,

I have a cloned project. Most of the project is shared to other projects (i.e. workflow, issue types).

Is there a way that I can unlink certain areas or change it without effecting the other projects?

You can't really "unlink" them, the issue types are single shared objects, not links.

What you can do:

  • Come up with a new set of issue types
  • Create a new "issue type scheme" listing the new types
  • Change the old project to use the new "issue type scheme".

JIRA will ask you to map the old issue types on to new ones and then change them all for you
