Hi All,
I have a self hosted Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket setup.
When I go to any ticket, even a brand new one, if I go to Activity > Activity, I see the correct information to begin with, but, I then also see a lot of unrelated confluence information straight after.
I would understand if the Confluence page had a reference or some link to the ticket in question, but, some of these are just generic pages.
Other users can't see this.
Can anyone advise?
Hi,
I understand that you have unexpected Confluence pages appearing in the activity feed of Jira Issues. I did some searching about this problem and I came across only one other report of this over in JRASERVER-65329.
It seems that this has been documented to happen when there exists an application link from Jira to Confluence, and a project link from this Jira Project to a specific space in Confluence, and then in Confluence create a JIRA Report of type Change Log. This appears to then make these Confluence pages visible in the activity feed for all issues in that specific project, and not just the Jira issues listed in that change log specifically. I suspect that other users in your site might not seen these, as they might not have access to the specific pages in Confluence.
I would be interested to see if perhaps removing the Jira project to Confluence space link (not the application link itself), might help to serve to prevent this problem. You can do this within the Project settings in Jira server (Project settings -> Project links). As long as the application link still exists, then this activity stream should still show direct link references to this issue in Confluence. However I believe this linkage is a feature of the project link itself.
I hope this helps, please let me know.
Andy
