Unrequired field showing as required

Hello,

I have a bit of an issue with a field config on a create screen. When the issue type compliment is selected the PH# field shows as required BUT the ph# field isn't marked as required in the field configuration. Why is the field still showing as required on the create screen when it isn't selected as a required field on the config????

Jira does not do that natively (dependent fields), I suspect you have got Scriptrunner installed and you have set up a "Behaviour" to do it.  Behaviours can make a field mandatory in the UI, but do not touch the field configuration.

Ask your admins to look through the Behaviours.
