Update issue fields based on its linked issue

Hi,

I want that an issue will get the statuses of its linked issues as values in a specific custom field, by automation. Is that possible? And, this field will be automatically updated according to the status changes of its linked issues.

Without overthinking, I'd say yes. Automation for Jira is pretty flexible. I'm sure we can do that. Now, suppose your issue A has 10+ linked issues. What's the expected result for the custom field values on A? Also, what are you planning to do with this piece of information? I'm trying to understand whether there will be a better approach to what you are trying to achieve here before we start throwing the possible solutions at you.
