Updating a workflow updates another workflow too

Rupa Saxena August 26, 2019

I have a workflow A and a workflow B. Both are saved with different names and are associated with different issue types.

When I edit the workflow A somehow both workflow A& B get those updates. Any idea what went wrong?

i also tried copying workflow B and save with a new name but same behavior continues.

Are you changing status names? Statuses shared across all your workflows, so if you change the name in one it will affect all workflows.

I am changing the status names as the two workflows have different statuses. Do I need to create new statuses to avoid the changes getting copied to the other workflow?

Statuses are not project/workflow specific, they are defined on the instance. So yes, it both workflows have the same status and you want to change the name in one of them you need to create a new status.
