Upgrade JIRA Starter 7.9.0 to 7.12.3 without support

Tomasz Fruba October 21, 2018

Hello,

As I'm testing some service-desk solutions - I wanted to extend my current JIRA installation (v. 7.9.0) with Service Desk add-on. However - after successful installation - JIRA reported a problem with license as my support period has expired so I'm unallowed to perform an upgrade.

But - the software allows me to enter new license, so that what I tried to do:

- generated new eval. license so I can check if it's working. The license has been accepted, and JIRA asked me to restart the service. So I did. After restarting the service - it again said that my licence has expired and whole process began from scratch.

- then I'd thought that maybe it's caused by my evaluation license, as earlier - I've had full 'Starter' license'. So I've extended the support period, enter new license into my JIRA and... Still it claims that my software's license has expired...

Any advice on the issue?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Tom

@Tomasz Fruba

It could be that either you need more licenses for your users, or you need to pay for the new license as Atlassian changes their prices.
