Hi Support,

How to update existing JIRA Application to latest.

Please let me know the procedure/steps and precautions that need to be taken.

How to take complete system backup and How to resote if any thing happens?

How to validate updated system is fully functional?

Any document with new or enhanced features under new version?

Any other important things.

Currently i am running JIRA 5.2.2 version.

Hi Venugopal,

Make sure you backup your system. Backup your home directory.

Make sure all your plugins are compatible with the latest version of JIRA.

Always perform an upgrade on a development system before doing it on production instance.
