Upgrade Jira from 5.2.5 to 7.8

Hi,

We run a Jira 5.2.5 on a Windows Server 2008R2 with MS SQL Server 2008 R2. We want to migrate Jira to a Windows Server 2012 R2 with MS SQL Server 2017.

Is there any documentation to do it? Or maybe someone who did it on his server?

Sorry for my bad english....

7.8 only supports MS SQL Server 2012 & 2014, SQL Server 2017 is not supported yet. You will have to consider using 2012/2014 or other non SQL Server alternatives:

you should also follow this upgrade path:
5.2.5 > 7.0.11 > 7.8.x
