It my demo box installation of JIRA and while I am trying to upgrade from 6.3.11 to 7.0. Its failing with error message :
:java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/atlassian/jira/bin/atlassian-jira-software-7.0.0-jira-7.0.0-x64.bin.28600.dir/stats.properties (No such file or directory)"
any pointer to resolve it.
Hi @[deleted],
As mentioned here, This error occurs when the installer is placed inside the Confluence installation directory. When the installer runs, it creates a new directory called atlassian-confluence-x.x.x-x64.bin.xxxx.dir in the same directory as the installer, then removes the existing installation directory. If the installer is located within the installation directory, this new directory will be be removed as soon as it is created.
If the error above is in the logs, there's a good chance the Confluence installation directory has been removed. Roll back to a backup taken before the upgrade, then run the upgrade again with the installer outside of the Confluence installation directory.
Thanks,
Lava
thanks for your response but I am upgrading JIRA Software and not the Confluence.

ok, is there a link which I can use to understand the "Roll back to a backup". in my /opt/atlassian/ there is "jira-6.3.11-back.zip' and there is no content in /opt/atlassian/jira there is nothing.

Hi Manav,
Please refer this KB article to roll back your upgrade.Once this is done, run the installer outside of your installation directory.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Lava
