Use Cases for Jira Validators

Hello Everyone!

Currently, I am using a JIRA Workflow Validator to check if a required field is present before completing a transition.  This is the only way I have used a validator so far, I am just curious how more experience JIRA admins use or have used workflow validators.

If you have a couple of spare minutes, I would really be interested in reading about it!

Hi Michael,

There are quite a few interesting use cases for validators and conditions that you can do in your instance. I work for a marketplace vendor - we make Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE) - but if you have any of the third-party apps for workflows, you can typically look up some use cases documentation. Even if you are not using any third-party apps, perhaps those use cases can give you some ideas (though out-of-the-box implementation will be limited).
