Our cryo-EM center is rapidly expanding, and we are working to streamline the management of various tasks, including new user applications, instrument requests, consultation requests, and training scheduling. In addition, we need to efficiently track consumables, purchases, and manage communications for our growing community. To meet these demands, we are seeking a central platform that can integrate several of our existing systems, including Wix forms and Trello boards. We envision a setup where these forms can automatically append lines to various Google Sheets and calendars, simplifying scheduling for consultations, training, and instrument usage.
Additionally, we would require Slack and Zoom/Microsoft Teams integrations for notifications and meetings, as well as a way to manage Google email accounts for project communication with external users. For billing and tracking metrics, we aim to integrate these systems with PowerBI and Airtable, ensuring simplicity and efficiency.
Our goal is to create a secure and user-friendly solution that supports our NIH-sponsored grant renewals. Most of our current systems are automated using Zapier, but we need a centralized platform to connect everything.
Would Jira be a suitable platform for this, or is there a better way to approach this project? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on how to move forward and how efficient this integration would be.
