Hi there
I've read multiple posts and basically done everything under the sun for this problem and am finally reaching out for help before I go absolutely insane.
I have a user who is a client so should only have access to one project in our Jira Software instance.
I've created a project role and a user group for them, added them to both.
I've ensured both have been added to the project - they can no longer access it (but could at one stage).
But I've just discovered we can't @ the user in comments, nor can we add the user as a watcher. I've tried the below:
In the new issue view, the user doesn't come up at all (and I have god level admin access and have given myself all the right permissions).
In the old issue view, the user appears but can't be added - I get the error 'User does not have permission to view this issue'. What's with that?
So I've checked global permissions, project permissions, individual user permissions.. Created issue security to see if that works, but to no avail.
Please tell me what else I've missed or done wrong? And does it really need to be this complicated?!
Thanks.
