User not notified when mentioned using an automation rule

Hi all,

 

I have created an automation rule that mentions the assignee and it worked--the markup looked like the user has been mentioned, however, the user is not notified in Jira notifications and in the email as well.

 

Is this expected or is there something I should tweak in my settings?

Can you share the rule that you have? Especially the part showing notification details.
