×One of our clients wants to upgrade their JSW to the next user tier (staying for now on server). However it is not allowed anymore for them to upgrade their crowd license (they have a starter license). My question is, will the crowd license stop working once they upgrade to their JSW? If yes, is there any solution for this case?
The JSW and Crowd licenses are not tied together. If they upgrade their JSW license Crowd will still work.
You might be confusing this with the apps licensing model where each app must match the base product's user tier. This is not necessary for Crowd.
Of course Crowd will not able to manage more users that it currently does meaning they will have to add additional users to Jira's internal directory or another external directory linked to Jira but not Crowd.
Hope this helps!
