Using Scrum board future sprints

I'm newer to Jira software and would like to use the future sprint functionality to plan ahead the next sprint. I'm not finding any documentation is the Jira help area or on the internet. Would someone be able to point my to a good user doc for this feature. Thank you!

If you need to plan multiple sprints, it is recommended to enable parallel sprints first.
