Using an SSO enabled on Jira instance that doesn't have SSO enabled

A client of ours uses Jira in their organization and they have SSO enabled. This client is added as a customer in our JSM. Now when she tries to login it pushes her to the SSO protocol even though we don't have the enabled on our instance. 

Is there a way to bypass this? Is the only way to enable SSO?
