We used to be able to use "Create Issue from" message shortcut on a Rollbar notification in Slack, and the issue (Work Item) form used to pop up when the correct project selected, and the description having the body of the Rollbar alert.
Now we just get the form pop up, with whatever project was previously selected, and nothing else pre-filled.
When using "Create Issue from" on any other regular message, the message is populated as the description, but project is not filled out.
However, when using "/jira create" the form pops-up with the correct project selected.
I don't remember making any changes to the configuration of this integration, could there by another reason why this doesn't work anymore? Is this feature deprecated?
Hi @Joey Perry
Welcome. Haven't use the integration in a while.
There isn't any announcement or in the documentation that it is deprecated. The shortcut keys and behaviors seem pretty much the same as before according to the doc:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-jira-cloud-for-slack/
Perhaps reenabling the app on slack may help or reinstalling.
I have notice on an instance that I was working on around the time when the instance switch from issue to work items, some of the workflow apps have issue. I had to recreate them in order to work again. So, reconfiguration might be in order.
I tested removing the integration, re-adding it, and then reconnecting our project channels. This fixed auto-selecting the project, but still does not populate the description from the Rollbar notification. Other messages populate a description as expected.
Perhaps Rollbar changed something about the message content that shows up in Slack that in a way that prevents this plugin from using it?
