Validator for Assignee changes?

Hi all,

I'm new to Cloud so I have some basic questions. I always try Google/YouTube first but found nothing on this that helped.

Is it possible to have a Validator for the Assign button? I'd like to require a Comment any time someone changes the assignee to track the reasons why.

Hi Andrew,

I'm afraid there is no out-of-the-box way to do this. Validators only act on workflow transitions, not on changes on the issue itself. Also, I cannot think of any apps that implement this behaviour.

If you really need this, it should be possible to build something like this with ScriptRunner's Script Listeners, where you would listen for issue updated events and then act on them.
