Version field on customer portal

Justin_Scott November 28, 2019

Is there any way to display the "version" field on the ticket display in the customer portal?

When I try to add the field, it says "This field type can't be shown in the Customer Portal".

Our clients would like to know what release certain features are going to be implemented, so this is a pretty important requirement.

Hi @Justin_Scott

We recently launched a new app that allows to prompt users for the affected version on customer portal.

The form would show a project field with cascading version and/or component

You may try it on our demo environment

Feel free to contact us if you want any enhancements/modifications

Here's the link for the app:

Hello Justin,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The customer portal is a great option to share information with customers, but the field Version is something used internally and can be edited only by agents, that's why it can't be shown on the form for customers.

We have a feature suggesting the implementation to show this type of field as read-only in the customer portal:

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

Regards,
Angélica

Hi Angelica,

Thanks for the response! That makes sense - I'll have to add a vote to the feature suggestion and hope it gets implemented.

Thanks,

Justin
