Versions End Date Vs Sprint End Date

Aamer Inam: M-3521 June 5, 2014

Hello ,

I have created two versions in a project that has a release date e.g. June 30 ,2014 . What If my sprint comes to an end before that date , how jira backend engine looks at it or it could be that version date is June 15 ,2014 and my sprint comes to an end as on June 30 ,2014 . I would like to know if there is any logical relation between the two in either case. Look forward to a prompt response.

It's up to you. You don't HAVE to release at the end of a sprint, and you don't HAVE to release a version just because the sprint ends. The sprint and release, although logically entwined, don't force or require a relationship.
