View File Macro Displays strange characters embedding .ppt or pdf files in wiki page

When embedding a PowerPoint presentation or a PDF file in a Confluence Wiki page the Confluence View File Macro for Office Connector Displays strange characters in the embedded PDF or PowerPoint presentation. We have upgraded to the latest Office Connector plugin version and we are still having this problem. We have Confluence v4.2.8 with Office Connector plugin 2.1.10. Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

Bernardo, I don't think we are having the same problem as CONF-25611 but maybe similar where we are having the opposite problem When we are embedding a PDF file the text in the PDF: Customer Information is displayed as: □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ . I also read the link you attached above on the office connector documentation for troubleshooting and I could not find anything helpful in troubleshooting this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have opened Confluence Support / CSP-97174 regarding this problem.
