View disabled users in a User custom field

Hi all,

is it possible to view disabled/inactive users in a user custom field?

The users are read from an external LDAP, but I want to be able to use them in some fields.

disabled and inactive users will not show up in a user picker field when you search for them.  I believe if you know their user id and you add it then they can be selected in the field but you have to know it specifically.

Do you believe or did you try?

Because I tried and I don't see how it is possible to add an inactive user also if I know his user id, but I'm missing something, maybe.

  It is something that we did years ago.  I tested it and it no longer works.  So disabled and inactive users will not show up in the user picker field when you search for them or add them directly to it.
