View multiple time sessions against one issue

Chris Taylor December 23, 2018

 Hello

I have a Kanban project, with all the default settings.

When I open an issue and click on TIME TRACKING I can log a duration and include a 'work description'.  Later I return to the same issue and log another period of time and write up a second 'work description'.

How can I view the multiple time sessions I have logged against a single issue, both times and descriptions?

Furthermore, how can I view the list of sessions logged against issues in a report?

Any advice gratefully received.

Chris

Hi @Chris Taylor,

There should be a tab next to Comments, History and Activity called Worklogs. There you can find all Worklogs you are allowed to see.

If you are missing this tab, you need the permission to  view Worklogs.

In the report section is a time tracking report. There you can see it all in one view.

Hi @Bastian StehmannIf I open an issue (a sub-task in this case) I can see my worklog entries within the Activity list for the issue but I can't find this Worklogs tab.  Where can I enable this feature please?  I am the admin for the project.

Hi,

You should go to project settings and then check the permissions.

If you do not have the permission to view Worklogs,  you have to add yourself to a role with this permission or ask an system administrator to modify the permission scheme.

Hi, my issue was that I was using the new 'Jira Lab' view of an issue.  When I switched back to the classic view I can now see a list of my work log entries.  Whats more I can now see the cumulative time in the time tracking report (by version)

many thanks
