View sprint capacity planned in advanced roadmaps

I have selected the Sprint capacity management view. I have selected in the view settings group by sprint and show capacity on timeline. I defined the capacity for the team's two week sprint. I assigned story points to all the work in the sprint. The total story points exceed the teams capacity. I see the timeline view across the top. I don't have sprints across the top that allow me to click to see how much is planned as indicated in the documentation. Is there something that I am missing in this view as I expected to see some type of alert or view that we've overplanned the sprint.
