Hello,
Is this possible within JIRA? We use Jira service desk 3.11.0 and JIRA 7.8.0.
We are currently facing a conundrum, we would like to view the status and actual Fix version of an escalated ticket.
E.G Scenario. Level 2 escalates a ticket to Level 3, Level 3 assigns a Fix version to their ticket! Level 2 would want to see the Fix version of the ticket without having to go on the Level 3 ticket.
Level 2 would also want to pull report from their board which would have that information.
By default I think no.
In Service Desk Portal, if you have Extension for Service Desk add-on, it has a functionality to show linked issues and selected fields for those issues.
In JIRA Software, maybe a script field would be the easiest choice. You would need Script Runner (my suggestion only) for that.
Script Field would not "hold" any duplicate information, just display desired text (in this case Fix Version of linked issue).
We do not use the service desk portal but work primarily on Jira -Which addon are you referring to?

Since you mentioned Service Desk Portal, I figured this was needed.
It's "Extension for Service Desk for JIRA".
In your case, within JIRA Software, I would suggest to use scripted fields (you would need ScriptRunner installed) and the field context for the desired project could display on the fly info/text , in your case Fix Version of linked issue.

I keep hearing of ScriptRunner. Will definitely give it a try. Thanks for your input.

It's definitely a must if you want to get into deeper level of customization/automation.
