My organization's technical support team needs a way to quickly view a project version and see what bugs affect that version. The "Affects version" field and Release Hub seem perfect for this, but the Release Hub associates bugs with versions based on the "Fix version" instead.
Seeing what version fixed a bug makes sense for development, but the service/support department needs to see what version(s) are affected by a bug. I was hoping there was a convenient way for the Release Hub to show this information.
Is there a way in Jira to view bugs affecting a version without a custom search? What is best practice for service and tech support to find this information?
Hi Adam,
You could setup a dashboard for the team with a pie chart gadget per project/product and display it by the affects version. That way they can click in on the section of the pie to view a filter showing those issues.
Seems to achieve what you want, just not via the release hub.
Thanks
Lewis
