Wallboards are fairly simple and useful to create. However, when setting up a wallboard slide show, our dashboards titles are not displayed. Am I missing a hidden option?
For example, imagine having 2 JSM projects with very similar dashboards. It is hard to know which metrics apply to which project, when viewing the wallboard slide show. They simply transition into one another with very similar metrics.
Yes, I do see the easy workaround of adding the project name to every gadget. But this seems cumbersome and unnecessary. Again, I hope that I am missing some simple option here.
Hi @Kevin Maskell-Moody ,
Unfortunately, there's no such option. I guess the only workaround is what you've described - updating the name for each gadget.
There was one feature request related to what you're asking, but it was closed in 2021 due to inactivity: JRACLOUD-38463: Option to add dashboard name to displayed wallboard
Now, you could reach out to Atlassian Support and discuss it with them to potentially reopen it or create a new one.
One additional note/info is that Atlassian started working on Home Dashboards. It isn't strictly related to wallboards, and I'm not sure if these will support wallboard or similar features, but it might be worth checking it out.
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks for pointing out Home Dashboards. I will have a look.
